Fortunately, VoluMill toolpaths establish and maintain constant material removal rates throughout, with a much higher percentage of constant-width cuts than any other rough milling toolpath technologies, making the use of such parameters not only possible, but desirable.
The VoluMill Milling Advisor, designed in conjunction with cutting tool manufacturer Helical Solutions (Gorham, Maine), provides both conservative and aggressive parameter recommendations based on material type, cutting tool selection, machine tool capabilities, and several other factors, making it easier to be successful with VoluMill right away.
