SigmaNEST V9.5 combines SigmaNEST’s ability to optimize parts nesting for minimum waste and minimum machine movement with VoluMill’s technology that generates smooth machining toolpaths that exert minimum force on the spindle and cutting tool. VoluMill toolpaths solve tough holding problems and dramatically reduce cycle times, resulting in increased productivity and minimized part movement.
Manufacturers of wood and aluminum sheet products often secure parts with air suction, a method that is susceptible to abrupt sideways movements by the tool into the part wall. VoluMill’s smooth, flowing toolpaths eliminate this problem.
